DESCRIPTION:NOTICE OF ELECTION TO ALL THE QUALIFIED ELECTORS / MEMBERS of The  Urban League Young Professionals of Metropolitan Denver \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nElection to take place in Person at The Lydian\n\n2590 Welton St\,  Denver CO\, 80205. ( Second Floor)\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTo qualify to participate as a candidate or vote in the  election the following criteria must be met by August 19th 2019 at 6 PM Mountain Standard Time\n\n	Be a ( Paid ) Denver Urban League Young Professionals Member    \n	To Pay for your membership please click here\n	Submit your application for an open Executive Leadership / Chair Positions      \n	Submit your application please click here\n	Be at the August 20th 2019 Election/ General Body Meeting in person.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease be informed. The following positions will be open for election on August 20th 2019\n\n\n\nVice President\n\n  In the event that the President is absent or unable to perform his/her duties\, \n\nthe Vice President shall perform all the duties and may exercise all the powers of the President. The Vice President shall monitor\, coordinate\, and supervise the activities of each standing committee. \n\n  Will be charged with capturing all community service etc. hours and data \n\nfrom the other chairs. \n\n\n\nTreasurer\n\n  The Treasurer shall deal with the funds of the Executive Committee. The \n\nTreasurer is responsible for the accurate records of all funds relating to the Young Professionals and will provide the Executive Committee\, the General Body\, and the ULMD Vice President of Finance with reports of the financial condition of the Young Professionals. \n\n  i. The Treasurer will serve as the Chair of the Finance Committee. \n\n  ii. At the end of his/her term in office\, the Treasurer is responsible for \n\nforwarding all the Young Professionals materials\, records\, files and papers pertaining to the Treasurer's office\, to the incoming Treasurer. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCommunity Service Chair\n\n  Responsible for planning a monthly community service event.\n\n  Maintaining relationships with community organizations\, businesses\, etc for\n\nvolunteer opportunities.\n\n  In charge of keeping attendance and records of each community service\n\nevent\; will submit to the Vice President the attendance sheet and records for each event.\n\n  Professional Development Chair\n\n  Responsible for attending meetings\, events\, etc. of organizations like but not\n\nlimited to Chamber Connect\, DAAP\, SPIN\, etc. with the intention of building partnerships and spreading awareness of the DULYP.\n\n  In charge of being a brand champion for the DUYLP.\n\n  Charged with seeking out speakers and resources that would enhance\n\nmonthly meetings and or initiatives.\n\n  Developing connections with local events\, organizations\, or individuals that\n\nresult in free tickets to events\, discounts\, VIP passes\, etc.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSocial Media Chair \n\n  Tasked with partnering with ELT\, to share content being \n\ndistributed via email\; tasked with posting on all DULYP social media outlets. Must post within 24 hours of event. \n\n  Captures pictures\, quotes\, etc. and posts pictures or media content on all \n\nsocial media outlets. \n\n  Responsible ensuring accuracy of information on all posts by verifying with \n\nboard member or original sources. \n\n  Charged with creating social media campaigns for monthly meetings and \n\nother relevant events\; preferably able to create graphics for events. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCommunity Partnerships Chair\n\n  On a quarterly basis\, present content during a General Body meeting to \n\nbenefit membership and affiliates. \n\n  Charged with creating and developing relationships with local \n\norganizations\, sponsors\, and critical stakeholders to help carry out the mission\, and vision of the DULYP.
