Business Brown Bag: Basic Business Etiquette
During this seminar, you will get answers to all of those simple questions you often find yourself perplexed by, including when and how to shake hands; when to stand, when to sit, and if there is a gender difference in this protocol; when to present a business card; when to begin a business discussion during a business meal; how to determine who should pick up the tab and when; who to introduce to first when making business introductions; what "business casual" really means; and much more. This interactive seminar is for both seasoned and new entrepreneurs alike. Joni Inman spent six years in real estate sales; nine years in journalism; and 20 years in local government, serving as a key advisor to four mayors and more than 50 elected officials during her tenure. Over those 20 years, she oversaw economic development activities, communications programs, and served 10 years as a municipal legislative lobbyist. Inman is past president of the National Association of Government Communicators. Most recently, she represented a major hospital as vice president of public affairs. Inman sits on the board of directors for the West Chamber of Commerce and works as a business and government affairs consultant. In the fall of 2010, she was recognized as one of Jefferson Country's 12 Most Influential People by City & Mountain Views magazine.
