The Denver Kappa Alpha Psi Scholarship Foundation, subsidiary of the Denver Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi, was established in 1989 to provide for the future support of young African American men from the Denver metropolitan area who have excelled in high school. Graduating seniors are selected on the basis of academic achievement, community service and financial need. The Foundation’s mission is “To provide scholarships to deserving African American young men, honor past achievements and promote the development of good citi-zenship.”
The Colorado Black Chamber (CBCC) began in 1985 with just a staff of one and a handful of Black business members. Now, the organization boasts more than 50 corporate members and nearly 1000 business members. The Chamber remains a solid voice for the Black business community while continuously refocusing its efforts to meet the ever changing needs of its members.
