Use Your Financials as a Powerful Management Tool
Most entrepreneurs who start a new business do not do it for their love of accounting. Accounting and bookkeeping are often relegated to the "have to do" category and are unfortunately often left to last. On April 1, many CPAs are greeted at the door by a small business owner with sad eyes and a box of receipts. This seminar will teach you how to be proactive about your financial records and look at your books from a strategic point of view. As a business owner, it is vital to know not only how much money is in the bank, but where that money is allocated and if it is providing a return on investment or not. Large companies look at their business through the strategic eye of their financials; small business owners can - and need - to do the same.

Over the past 25 years, Suzy Schutz has established herself in the bookkeeping and accounting industry. In 1997, after eight years in the field, she founded her first bookkeeping company. Since then, she has successfully ran that business and delved into the educational side of bookkeeping and small business management. Currently, Schutz is the president and partner of Apis Business Solutions, LLC, an accounting and bookkeeping firm. Her wide variety of experience in Colorado's small business community gives her great insight into the needs and wishes of small business owners everywhere.
