Community and Citizenship Manager - (Denver)

Position Description:

  • Develop plan budget; manage and confirm with business unit senior leadership.
  • Manage analysis and interpretation of various metrics and stakeholder feedback to understand trends to evolve programs.
  • Partner with local, community, City, State, Federal, and other organizations to expand opportunities across C&C pillars.
  • Coordinate with Project & Safety leaderships team regarding active caring, commitment to worker experience, and development & management of Inclusive & Respectful Workplace playbooks for all projects.
  • Manage partnership with Procurement Department:
    • Lead Underrepresented Business Enterprises (UBE) programs to achieve established goals.
    • Understand utilization metrics to assist in identification of gaps and possible solutions.
    • Share knowledge of certified UBEs to provide advice on potential bidding opportunities.
    • Increase bid opportunities for qualified UBEs during pre-construction process and project buyout.
    • Build relationships with organizations that support and promote UBE advancement, diversity, and inclusion.
    • Implement outreach events to foster relationships with UBEs in various capacities.
  • Development and implementation of a Business Unit specific Under-Represented Business Enterprises (UBE) Increased Utilization plan to support the development, growth and ultimately utilization of under-represented business who have traditionally found barriers to contracting within the construction industry.
  • Reinforce positive culture and foster connectivity by creating opportunities for staff engagement in C&C initiatives.
  • Manage internal partnerships to ensure timely, measurable, and high-quality plan results.
  • Collaborate with Business Development to build and refine C&C related pursuit strategies, as well as to deliver C&C specific content in support of pursuits.
  • Participate in National C&C to recommend new approaches and procedures for continuous improvement.
  • Other activities, duties, and responsibilities as required by specific business unit and/or National C&C.
  • Identify, plan, and lead community engagement opportunities for our staff; focus on impact within the community and construction industry in alignment with Turner’s values & vision.
  • Planning lead for Turner’s annual Founder’s Month community engagement events.
  • Coordinate with local ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) lead for alignment on DE&I impact internally and externally.
  • Coordinate with Project & Safety leaderships team regarding active caring, commitment to worker experience, and development & management of Inclusive & Respectful Workplace playbooks for all projects.
  • Engage with the local Diversity Advocate (DA) and Human Resources team to offer guidance and awareness on aspects of C&C in support of our people and their development.
  • Coordination with Human Resources to support college recruiting efforts.
  • Primary liaison for all Employee Resource Groups (ERGs); work with ERG leads to establish annual budgets, suggested events, and provide coordination with national ERG resources/leads.
  • Lead Workforce Development engagement and planning efforts; establish plans for RFQ/RFP requirements around workforce development and community impact; coordinate with local organizations and educational institutions (WorkNow, Construction Education Foundation, educational / career programs, etc).

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training. The below salary range represents the company's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation. Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck. This position will be posted for 60 days.

The salary range for this position is estimated to be 117,000.00 - 135,000.00 annualized.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from accredited and credentialed degree programs and at least 8 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Established local market and industry knowledge
  • Active community involvement and network of professionals
  • Project management experience, adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Understand OFCCP and related City, State, and Federal regulations
  • Analytics, labor and compliance, and operations reporting skills
  • Resourceful with complex decision-making and problem solving skills, and analytical thinking
  • Management experience, ability to observe performance, and deliver feedback
  • Ability to lead others that are not direct reports
  • Energetic, hands-on, proactive, and continuous learner
  • Computer skills, MS Office, SAP, and social media platforms
  • Travel
