Strategies for Growth in the Contracting World
This workshop, covering contracts, RFPs, awards and set-asides, will include discussing and learning about local and non-local markets, how to stay competitive in emerging markets, prime vs. sub strategies, identifying opportunities, and case studies and stories from both successful and "not as" successful companies.
Workshop objectives include:

- Holding an effective kickoff meeting
- Storytelling (successful or not?)
- How small businesses fit into their niche
- Having a strategy for weather or not to prime or sub on RFPs
- You WON, but now what? (identifying customer needs as they could have changed, what to do with changes at the kick-off meeting, conducting a successful kickoff meeting)
- How networking events and social media can help your business growth
- Identifying opportunities including set-asides
- How to find out what your competition is doing (websites, award postings, etc.)
