Provides senior leaders with actionable data to inform organizational initiatives and support operational efficiency/effectiveness. Supervises a team of analysts and will be responsible for driving operational improvements.

What You'll Do:

  • Manages a team of analysts to support analytical projects from problem definition, methodology proposal, data requirements establishment, deliverables identification and timing determination, to execution, implementation and review.

  • Provides detailed decision support tools (including multiple scenarios and risk estimation) for department leaders, school leaders and school support staff, empowering them to plan accurately and efficiently.

  • Clearly and concisely communicate analyses, including the willingness to manage up to senior levels and defend recommendations that may be received with apprehension from the client.

  • Collaborates effectively with other team members inside and outside the department to drive comprehensive solutions.

  • Works cross functionally and collaboratively to develop advanced analytics for transportation route optimization, bell time decisions, and bond capital improvement planning processes.

  • Develops and implements tools to track the effectiveness and efficiency of operational departments on an ongoing basis.

  • Provides measurement and analytic support for the development and ongoing maintenance of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) between operational teams and schools.

 What You’ll Need:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Planning, economics, statistics or related field preferred.

  • Two (2) or more years of experience in the participation in the planning, developing and managing of large, complex analytical products that have delivered measurable results for the organization.

  • Two (2) or more years of management responsibilities.

  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.

  • Strong organizational and analytic skills and strong attention to detail.

  • Self-starter/leader who can anticipate department needs in a proactive (versus, reactive) manner.

  • Ability to develop and interpret data and manage resources.

  • Ability to motivate and influence others.

  • Ability to effectively lead a team.

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook and/or Google Suite.

  • Ability to multi-task and juggle management of several high-priority projects in parallel.

  • High degree of integrity in handling confidential information.

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, including the ability to lead a high-performing team.

  • Demonstrated ability to produce accurate analysis and recommendations under tight deadlines and high levels of public scrutiny, preferred.

  • Creation of ad-hoc data-based reports for decision making, including KPIs, scorecards, dashboards, etc. preferred.

  • Fluency with statistical software (SPSS, Stata,R.), familiarity with SQL and very strong Excel skills (VBA/macro abilities) preferred.

  • Lead for racial and educational excellence and work to dismantle systems of oppression and inequity in our community, along with believing in and supporting all students so they feel seen and heard with access to high quality education.
